Mr. Eddie Yen has served as Manager of the State of Idaho-Asia Trade office since February of 1989. As office manager, he is responsible for activities that promote Idaho's manufactured, agricultural and food products, as well as tourism and education programs. Mr. Yen has worked with more than 350 companies and helped organize fifteen trade missions for Idaho. Because he has worked with such a variety of companies, Mr. Yen has a comprehensive and deep understanding of Idaho's industries, their opportunities and their export needs. He is widely recognized for his knowledge of the markets in Taiwan and Southeast Asia.

Mr. Yen served as the secretary and treasurer for American Trade Offices Association in Taipei (ASOA), a group comprised of twenty-one members, from 199 5-2001, and served as chairman in 1997 , 2007 and 2008. Prior to joining the Idaho Department of Commerce, Mr. Yen worked for TAITRA and served as a project manager for international trade show recruitment and management. Mr. Yen graduated from Tunghai University and completed two years of mandatory military service in the summer of 1985. He and his wife, Michelle, have two children, Brian and Sonia.
