Cattle Feedlots are governed by IDAPA 02.04.15, Rules Governing Beef Cattle Animal Feeding Operations. The incorporated documents for this rule are:

  • The 2004 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 40 Part 122 Section 122.23 (b)(1), (b)(2), (b)(4), (b)(6), or (b)(9).
  • The 1997 United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service Agricultural Waste Management Field Handbook, Appendix 10 D. *
  • The 2000 American Society of Agricultural Engineers Standard EP393.3*
  • The 1999 Publication by the United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resource Conservation Service, Conservation Practice Standard, Nutrient Management Code 590. *

As of May 3, 2009 the Idaho Beef Cattle Environmental Control Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Idaho State Department of Agriculture, Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, United States Environmental Protection Agency, and the Idaho Cattle Association is no longer in effect.
